INEOS Grenadiers is a British-based professional cycling team that competes in the UCI World Tour. Amassing over 500 victories since debuting in 2010, the team holds an incredible record of 12 Grand Tour wins in 14 seasons. In 2019 INEOS became the sole owners of the team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The INEOS Grenadiers are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Brand & Partnerships Manager to join the Team on an 11-month fixed-term contract. Based in the London office and reporting to the CEO, this role will be responsible for the overall relationship management of the Team’s Partner and Supplier portfolio spanning endemic and non-endemic cycling brands.

Key responsibilities include developing strategic marketing activity in collaboration with partners and internal stakeholders, driving contractual rights delivery and activation across the wider Marcomms functions, including digital, content and events to integrate with their key partnership objectives, whilst delivering ROI against contractual obligations. Leading partnership renewals and supporting the Commercial Director on new business proposals, developing rights packages, HOTs and onboarding successful stakeholders. Line management of two direct reports who manage day-to-day contact with partners.

This role also acts as a Brand Manager, with the overall management of the Team’s master brand; from development, implementation, and approval process to rolling out across all Team assets, in close collaboration with the Design team and relevant partners.

We are looking for an individual with outstanding client servicing skills, creative thinking, project management experience and an intuitive commercial approach. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Overall management of all Team Partners: contractual rights delivery, activation, reporting and renewals

• Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with senior partner contacts

• Overall management of the Team master brand; development, implementation, and approval processes across all Team assets

• Establishing and maintaining relationships across internal and external stakeholders including leading on Marcomms x Performance liaison

• Budget & KPI responsibility and accountability (Partnership, Fan Engagement, Brand development & implementation)

• Line management of Partnership Team (2-3 line reports)

• Supporting Commercial Director on new business pitches, developing rights packages, HOTs and onboarding successful stakeholders

• Leading on existing partnership renewals: reporting on the use of rights, working with relevant internal departments on requirements for the next term, negotiating rights & VIK allocation, drafting contracts and securing signature

• Understand partner businesses and help them to develop strategic partnership plans, including goals and objective setting. Act as advisor on how to achieve these with the available rights and within the cycling landscape

• Maintain efficient working practices to manage partner requests, partnerships activation calendar, rights usage and reporting

• Work closely with Digital and Communications Heads of Department (HODs) and the wider Marcomms team to create and develop partner campaigns across digital, email, and print, along with on-race activations, including VIP hospitality and bespoke partner events

• Act as brand guardian, alongside the Senior Designer, of the Team master brand to ensure compliance across all internal & external facing documents along with project management of the design and approval process for changes to the master brand, which is derived from Team jersey design

• Lead on complex logistics for Team appearances, on-race activations and delivery of partner-specific events

• Ownership of Fan engagement project: responsibility for budget and management of team in sourcing giveaways and gifting along with supporting campaign fror key races and ‘always on’ provision.

• Maintain a thorough understanding of sponsorship industry trends and sporting news to maximise related opportunities for the Team and partners

• Regular travel (including at weekends) to meet with partners, manage activations, attend races, host guests and represent the Team

KEY SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

• Minimum of 8 years experience in partnership management in the sports industry

• Self-starter, driven, energetic, professional, creative, with a real desire to deliver a first-class partner experience

• Experience working with a variety of global brands, businesses and stakeholders

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and partners alike

• Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects, prioritise and meet deadlines

• Excellent organisational and project management skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential

• Advanced Keynote/ PowerPoint and Excel skills are essential

• Excellent attention to detail

• Must be able to travel internationally as required to visit partners and attend events

• Core IT skills in Word, Outlook, Teams etc. Mac proficient

• Experience/interest in the cycling industry is desirable

• Additional European language is desirable

• Essential - Full UK/European driving licence

• Essential - Right to work in the UK
