Pauline wins European Short Track title

Pauline Ferrand-Prevot added another title to her glittering palmares as she secured victory at the European Championships in the XCC Short Track event.

Riding in the rainbow jersey representing the French national team, Ferrand-Prevot prevailed in tough, muddy conditions in Romania, winning the race by 11 seconds over Puck Pieterse (Netherlands). Nicole Koller of Switzerland rounded out the podium 42 seconds back.

The result means Pauline now holds the XCC World and European title, and she will be hoping to do the double in the XCO discipline in Sunday's race.
