A tough day was safely negotiated at the Tour de France as the INEOS Grenadiers stuck together well on stage six.

With winds gusting and threatening to split the bunch, the stage turned into a tense game of positioning, with the Grenadiers coming through with flying colours.

On the one occasion the peloton split the team placed numbers in the lead group, combining well to keep both Carlos Rodriguez and Egan Bernal out of trouble.

A bunch sprint into Dijon ensured both riders finished on the same time as stage winner Dylan Groenewegen (Jayco AlUla). Rodriguez remains sixth overall, with Bernal 10th heading into Friday's time trial.
