Tom Pidcock flew to a spectacular Short Track victory at Crans Montana. The Brit unclipped in the dash from the start of the race and found himself dead last halfway through the first of six laps.

Things were complicated further when Tom had a minor crash as he attempted to navigate his way round his competitors, in tricky, damp conditions.

However, strong riding saw the Yorkshireman move through the ranks well, placing ninth on lap three. Into lap four and he powered across to the lead group, and then the top three.

The penultimate lap saw him get into the lead and force a gap, before some assured riding and a late surge meant Pidcock crossed the line first to secure a win.

The victory also sees Tom secure a front row start for the Cross Country race tomorrow.

I didn't make it easy that's for sure! The start... I unclipped, and then I was at the back... That was my tactic, just ride full-gas!"
