Tom Pidcock sprinted to fourth in Kelso on stage one of the Tour of Britain.

The opening stage of the Grenadiers' home tour took the riders through the rolling Scottish Borders, with five categorised climbs to contend with.

Ben Turner was attentive at an intermediate sprint to pick up the remaining bonus second behind the duo in the breakaway.

Approaching the final climb of the day, and Connor Swift would launch several attacks to soften up the peloton.

As the bunch crested the top of the climb mainly intact, the Grenadiers would hit the front, setting a high tempo to dissuade attacks and begin the lead out for the expected sprint.

Into the final kilometres and the team would dominate the head of the race, putting Tom into a strong position to sprint to fourth.
